I generally don't recommend gift cards because by themselves they tend to look like no thought was put into the choice. If you have a small budget or need a quick turnaround and feel that a gift card is the way you'd like to go, think about the recipient and how they will feel when they receive it. Make it fun! How about letting them know you just wanted to pop in and say hello with a $10-$15 dollar gift card tucked inside of a popcorn themed greeting card? Or tell them that they mean the world to you so to enjoy the gift card on an adventure through Amazon, and add an Indiana Jones like greeting card? Just use a little creativity to make it something they will cherish. Happy shopping!
