SHIPPING & RETURNS
Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days. We currently do not offer same day delivery.
We ship using the US Postal Service, UPS & FedEx which take between 1-5 transit days Monday through Saturday. They do not deliver on Sunday. We can not be responsible for delays caused by these carriers once your gift has left our facility, however we will refund your shipping if your gift arrives late.

Future Delivery: You can order now and have it shipped later! Just mention it in the order instructions box on the last page when checking out.
Shipping to Multiple Addresses: You can perform this function right from the checkout page. Look for the "shipping to multiple locations" link.
PO Boxes: We ship to Post Office Boxes using the US Postal Service only. Fruit & Cheesecakes may not be shipped to PO Boxes.
APO/FPO: We ship to APO or FPO addresses using the US Postal Service only.

3 Day Expedited: $29.99 per gift (3 days after date of shipment)
2-Day Expedited: $45.99 per gift (2 days after date of shipment)
Overnight Expedited: $76.99 per gift (overnight after date of shipment)
Saturday Delivery: $48.99 per gift (this is for the Next Saturday after date of shipment)
Ground orders ship within 1-2 business days (this period may be longer during the winter holidays). Orders with express shipment will ship within 1 business day. We do not ship on weekends. Please contact us if you need to confirm when your gift will ship.
Your gift basket is guaranteed to be delivered on or before the promised delivery date by the end of the business day. If your shipment is delivered late, your shipping costs will be fully refunded.
*Our Shipping Guarantee applies only to shipments delayed due to our service failure. We will not guarantee delayed shipments that were caused due to an act of nature like weather or a catastrophic event. Our guarantee is invalid if incorrect shipping information is given or if no one is available to sign for shipment when delivery attempt is made.
All gift baskets containing wine or beer require a signature of an adult over the age of 21 for delivery. Please keep this in mind when choosing where the gift basket will be delivered and calculating the delivery date. Our shipping carriers will make three attempts to deliver the gift before they return it to our store.
Capital Gift Baskets will not be responsible for gift baskets where an adult is not available to sign. We advise that you let the recipient know a gift is on its way.
No refund will be issued as a result of your gift basket contain wine or beer being returned to us due to an adult over 21 not being available to sign for the delivery. However, if the gift basket is returned we will be happy to reship it to another location for only the cost of shipping and handling.
Chocolate in Warm Weather
During warm weather months (typically May-September), the chocolates contained in gift baskets may be substituted to avoid damage due to melting. Items containing chocolate must be shipped Expedited to avoid melting. If you choose a method other than Expedited, Capital Gift Baskets will not be held responsible for damage if melting occurs. If your gift recipient is not available at the time of delivery, we cannot be responsible for damage that occurs to those gifts having their delivery delayed or items delivered and left unattended in warm weather.
If you are shipping to a hospital, please be aware that often gifts are shipped to the receiving department and then need to be taken by hospital staff to the patient. We are not responsible for gift baskets becoming lost or misplaced once it is delivered to the hospital, failure of the hospital staff to deliver the gift to the patient's room or arriving after a patient has been released.
Please select Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air if recipient is expecting a short hospital stay. If you are unsure of how long your intended recipient will be in the hospital, please have the gift shipped to a recipient who can take the gift to the hospital or ship it to their home.

CHARGES: There is a $16.00 address correction fee per gift basket to reroute a gift after it has left our warehouse. This includes changing the street number, adding an apartment or suite and correcting a postal code. The $18.00 fee is also charged if your gift recipient has moved, you have provided an improper address or any package is refused or rerouted by the recipient.
All gifts are hand made and quality checked before shipping. If a gift is damaged we must be notified within 14 days of delivery and we will make arrangements to refund or re-ship. In order to refund or re-ship we must retrieve it in its original packaging. Unfortunately we cannot refund or re-ship if the gift cannot be retrieved.
